This big move, made in partnership with World Tennis Number (WTN), aims to bring everyone involved – from players and academies to coaches and officials – onto one smooth digital system across both web and mobile, making things more transparent and efficient. This initiative isn't happening in a vacuum; it is part of a larger nationwide digital transformation in Indian sports. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) has been pushing for a National Sports Digital Ecosystem (NSDE) to improve sports governance and get ready for major events like the Commonwealth Games 2030. With Gen Z making up a huge part of India's sports fan base and driving demand for interactive, mobile-first experiences, this digital leap by AITA is perfectly timed to connect with a new generation and boost overall participation. The initial rollout will streamline basic tasks like tournament registrations and withdrawals, moving them completely online. Future updates promise advanced features such as automated tournament draws, electronic orders of play, and live results, replacing old manual processes with a truly player-centric system. This shift is set to significantly improve efficiency, data quality, and athlete development, pushing Indian tennis forward in line with the country's broader sporting ambitions.
