India's stock market, fondly known as Dalal Street, is gearing up for a whirlwind week as nine companies prepare to launch their Initial Public Offerings (IPO), aiming to collectively raise a massive sum exceeding Rs 11,000 crore. Leading the charge is Manipal Health Enterprises, which alone seeks to collect Rs 9,275.22 crore, marking India's largest healthcare IPO by issue size when it opens on July 29. This flurry of activity highlights a robust appetite for new listings in the Indian primary market. The mainboard will see three significant issues: Manipal Health (healthcare), Juniper Green Energy (renewable energy), and MV Electrosystems (electrical systems), while six smaller companies will tap the SME segments. This diverse lineup reflects a thriving economy and strong investor confidence, fueled by recent successes like the SBI Funds Management IPO which saw overwhelming subscription. However, market experts note that investors are becoming more selective, favoring companies with reasonable valuations over aggressively priced offerings, indicating a maturing market. The upcoming week, with IPO opening from July 27 through August 4, sets the stage for even more action, as over a dozen additional companies, including big names like quick-commerce firm Zepto and Truhome Finance, are eyeing the primary market in August to raise over Rs 25,000 crore. This continuous pipeline suggests that India's capital markets are poised for sustained growth, making it a crucial period for both companies seeking funds and investors looking for new opportunities.
