This growth needs a lot more electricity, and thermal power, which comes from burning fuels like coal, is a quick way to meet this rising demand. Interestingly, this step also balances the state's big plans for green energy, as Madhya Pradesh has its Renewable Energy Policy 2025 aiming for 50% clean energy by 2030, showing it's looking at both traditional and modern power sources. The procurement will happen through a 'competitive bidding' process, where different companies will offer their best deals to build and run these plants under a 'DBFOO Model'. The Managing Director of MP Power Management Company Ltd. has been given the authority to move forward with this plan.
