Nexedge Capital, a fast-growing Indian wealth management firm, has successfully raised $20 million in its first funding round, with Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners leading the investment. This significant capital injection comes as Nexedge aims to accelerate its expansion across India, particularly targeting Tier II and III cities, and enhance its technology platform and service offerings for high-net-worth clients. The New Delhi-based company, founded by Anirudha Taparia in February 2025, has rapidly scaled to manage over $3 billion in assets for more than 1,300 clients within just 18 months, highlighting the immense potential in India's expanding wealth sector. The firm's unique ownership model, where over 150 senior leaders have invested their own capital, was a key factor in attracting investor confidence, according to Mirae Asset's CEO Puneet Kumar. This funding will also support the onboarding of an additional 50-60 senior bankers in 2026, further solidifying Nexedge's advisory network and its plans to introduce new services like a dedicated NRI proposition and an NBFC business. With India's HNI and UHNI wealth pool entering a multi-decade growth phase, Nexedge Capital is poised to capture a larger share of this market by managing clients' entire net worth rather than just their investible surplus. The fresh capital is earmarked for strengthening Nexedge's tech capabilities, broadening its reach, and diversifying its product portfolio to include a Non-Discretionary Portfolio Management Service (NDPMS). This strategic move positions Nexedge to compete effectively in India's evolving FinTech wealth management landscape, which is projected to reach $486 billion by 2031, underscoring a significant shift from physical to financial assets.
