Tripura High Court Pressures Government to Fill Over 3,700 Teacher Vacancies Urgently
The Tripura High Court has issued a stern directive to the State Government and the Teachers' Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT), demanding immediate action to fill over 3,700 vacant teaching and school administrative posts. This urgent call comes from a Division Bench led by Chief Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, highlighting the severe impact of these long-standing staff shortages on students across the state. The court specifically pulled up the government on September 9 for delaying appointments, especially concerning 1,116 Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions and 700 Graduate Teacher (GT) roles for which selection tests were already held.
