Trump Administration Utilizes Secretive Court for First Terror Deportation, Sparks Debate
The Trump administration has made history by successfully completing the first-ever deportation through the long-dormant Alien Terrorist Removal Court (ATRC), removing Afghan national Nazira Haji Zada from the United States. This landmark move, announced Friday, marks the activation of a secretive judicial process created three decades ago to handle complex terror-related immigration cases without compromising national security intelligence. Zada, a 47-year-old lawful permanent resident of Texas, was accused of aiding her son and son-in-law in a foiled 2024 Election Day terror plot inspired by ISIS, ultimately conceding her 'alien terrorist' designation and waiving her right to appeal.
