Shiv Sena (UBT) Slams BJP Over 'Falsehood' in Youth Rallies, School Meals
In a fiery editorial published today, the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), or SS(UBT), has sharply attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, accusing them of widespread corruption in the state's school midday meal scheme and financial irregularities in BJP's youth outreach programs. The party's mouthpiece, 'Saamana', used the proverb 'peas of falsehood won't cook' to criticize the government's actions, highlighting a specific incident in Ambegaon, Pune, where children were reportedly served rock-hard dried peas that failed to cook even after extensive preparation. The editorial alleged that the supplier for these meals, a Nagpur-based businessman, has close links to CM Fadnavis and also financially backed a recent BJP youth event.
